Fall Favorites Friday Week 3

Pumpkin Spice, falling leaves, flannels, and football are just a few of our favorite fall things to look forward to.  So in honor of our favorite season we are
sharing our four fall favorites every Friday in September.  Here is week 3!

FAVORITE FALL BOOK:
Plants vs. Zombies is a hilarious tale based on a popular video game. Halloween is right around the corner and we are sure this book will be a classroom hit.  Our students couldn't wait to get their hands on it and read it cover to cover.  We purchased ours at the Scholastic Book Fair at our elementary school  Here is the Amazon Link.

FAVORITE FALL PRODUCT:
Our students are busy learning all things sentences.  With our love of fall, we decided to make a fall themed sentence sort to help them identify sentence fragments vs. complete sentences.  This will be a FREEBIE for Friday September 21st only!  Click HERE to download it while it's still free! Also, my students are absolutely obsessed with Quizizz.  So we took a few of the task cards from the sentence sort and made a fall themed public game.  If you would like to play the game with your students, click HERE to access the game for free.

FAVORITE FALL SHIRT:
This adorable fall tee is from a fellow Texas teacher. It is from Jacqueline's Etsy store The Little Ladybug Shop.  She has this tee and many more cute designs.  Also, she has a wonderful TpT store as well.

FAVORITE FALL FOOD:
Bacon & Tot Casserole
Our families enjoyed this hearty breakfast casserole last Sunday.  We loved how the bacon didn't need to be cooked just chopped.  Honestly, you could serve this for breakfast, lunch or dinner.  Give this a try this fall and sure your families will love it.

Shopping List

1 (32 oz) package of frozen tater tots
8 eggs
10 pieces of thick cut bacon (uncooked), chopped
8 chopped green onions
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cup shredded pepper jack cheese
salt and pepper

You do not cook your bacon before assembling this recipe. Just chop up your raw bacon and stir it in with the rest of your ingredients.

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees and grease a 9X13 inch pan. Spread your frozen tater tots in pan and set aside. In a mixing bowl, whisk your eggs, add bacon, onions, cheeses, and a big pinch of salt and pepper. Pour over tater tots. Bake 35 minutes until lightly brown and bubbly.
